Summary
We are seeking a Database Developer/Administrator to join our team! The candidate must be a self-starter and will support the government customer’s operations by providing development support and related database administration. Candidates must be Top Secret cleared with SCI eligibility. Candidates must be able to work individually as well as collaboratively in a mixed government and contractor team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Administers, manages, designs, documents, and evaluates a variety of database management systems including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and other Database Management Systems (DBMS)

Develops and enforces database administration and user standards and procedures Creates and maintains connections between accounting databases and data sources

Assists with the development of reports and utilities for online accounting workflow system

Documentation and reporting features, issues, and resolutions

Development of policy and best practices for future software development

Enforce policies and best practices using checklists
-
Share and maintain weekly software development and status reports with management
-
Liaison between users and design team
-
Work with executive sponsors, customers, and external stakeholders to translate high-level requirements into database develop actions

Research data requirements for specific applications or users, and designs database structures and application capabilities to match

Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining a database management system (DBMS). Often tied to a specific platform such as MySQL, Access, MongoDB, SQL Server and others

Responsible for analyzing data from multiple disparate sources to discover previously hidden insight, determine the meaning behind the data and make business-specific recommendations
Qualifications / Skill Set:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology

3-5 years’ experience with software development, database administration, design, and development
-
3-5 years’ experience in SQL or other database scripting language
-
3-5 years’ experience with VBA and Agile Development preferred

Must be very proficient with Microsoft Access, query reporting, and relationship tables

Knowledge of data and document security policies

Technical writing experience

Speed and accuracy in navigating software

Adept in Configuration Management and Documentation

Strong data management skills
-
Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines

Enjoys problem-solving & troubleshooting

Excellent written and oral communication

Experience with Office applications essential
Security Clearance: Applicants selected MUST be U.S. Citizens with Top Secret Clearance and will be subject to further government security investigation. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for SCI access. Top Secret/SCI candidates preferred.
